Change ROM Directory

Issue #974 new
Former user created an issue

My only suggestion would be to be able to change the default directory of the Games Folder; from C/User/Launchbox/Games to possibly an external drive. I am running off a bare bones HTPC and require storage in a different location but I would still like the automatic organization the program can provide.

Also, not sure how this would work but is there any way to have a multi-disc title under a single entry?

For multi disc, you can use the Additional Apps feature, otherwise there is no combining. I display the file name in the Game Details bar myself and don't care personally about duplicates.

Per the games folder, we wouldn't be able to provide relative pathing to LaunchBox if the pathing is outside of the LB folder and at that point just house all your roms on the external and choose the option to not move any of your games. I have no games located in my LB folder, just media. If we changed the default location it'd be no different then just importing your games and not moving them. I'll keep the ticket open anyways, but I am unsure how needed this is.

Ah, thank you for your prompt response. I understand about the relative pathing, I just didn't want to get too far into importing before finding out it was something I simply overlooked.

And sorry for the double ticket; never like clogging forums. You are welcome to close the thread as I feel like I got any information I could. Thank you for your time and I look forward to extensive use of LaunchBox
