When playing an album, after playing a 2 or 3 tracks, it returns back to 1st track instead of playing the rest of album

I don’t have any logs that can corroborate my experiences, but I have been trying to use MBA for the past couple days, and as I play music in the background, it has been a fairly regular occurrence:

I pick an album from my collection, I double-click on the 1st song in the album, it starts playing
After finishing the 1st song, it plays the 2nd song, and that plays fine too
Usually around the 3rd or 4th song (and I have experienced this with different albums, not just the same one all the time), it just doesn’t go to the next track, and it starts over with track 1.

At first I thought it was a network issue since I had my music on a NAS. In my attempt to eliminate the network as the possibility, I copied my music collection to a local USB 3TB external drive, put MBA on the same USB external drive, and ran it from there. It still happens regularly.
