In lib/morphisms.gi and lib/polarspace.gi, you are doing InstallOtherMethod(\QUO, which happens to work due to a bug / misfeature in the GAP parser. But correct would be InstallOtherMethod(QUO,, or alternatively InstallOtherMethod(\/, or InstallOtherMethod("/",
