Can't undo paste in string value box

Expected behaviour: When pasting something from the clipboard into the string value text editing box, I expect to be able to undo the paste action with command-Z, and use Edit > Undo.

What I experienced: When pasting into the string value text editing box, I can’t use the Undo shortcut or the menubar Edit > Undo.
