Issue #139 new

JHOVE2 hangs on EPUB/ZIP file

johankb avatarjohankb created an issue

When I try to scan attached EPUB file, JHOVE2 seems to get stuck in an infinite loop. I didn't encounter this problem with any other files (EPUB or otherwise), so there may be something funny going on with this specific file.

When I rename the file to a a .zip extension it opens normally in Windows Explorer (and its contents can be extracted).

OK, so I accidentally uploaded the wrong (renamed) attachment first time around and then created a mess with the comments (I thought was editing my original post and then it turn out I had added a comment).

Anyway, any of these files (which are all the same but with different extensions) should reproduce the problem.
