Problem with tab panels if auxiliary databases are used?

Jim Cook reports that tab panels don’t work if multiple databases open automatically together, that the forms get mixed up between databases. I have not confirmed this.

I confirmed this problem with several internal accounting databases, it can be reproduced simply with the opendatabase statement. Using these three lines instead fixes the problem, which may be a clue.
