Please provide a way to disable jitter notify notifications per user

Many JIRA instances are shared by lots of users. Not everybody in such cases wants in app notifications (some are quite happy with email based ones). So it would be nice if there was a way for users who don't want the jitter notify icon always telling them they have new notifications to turn it off.

(Since the JIRA instance I'm working on is shared and some users really want in app notifications we can't just remove jitterplugin but forcing the work flow on people who don't want it is not ideal).
