The system tray icon is showing an annoying white square around icon, as seen in the attached screenshot.

  • DE: XFCE
  • WM: Xfwm4
  • WM Theme: Greybird Compact
  • Icon Theme: elementary-xfce-dark

Well, not sure why it would do this. Also, I was unable to reproduce it. My systray is handled by xfce4-panel's plugin, I tried using a dark theme, even installed xfce-theme-greybird from the AUR ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=46022 ) and used different height for the panel (from 16 to 42) but I never got any such square or anything...

Just tried again, it isn't always happen. But if you tell me what details you want, I can post them here when I reproduce.

Edit: And I'm using 22px panel.

Sorry, didn't get a notification for your reply for some reason.

Anyhow, what do you use for your systray? The regular xfce4-panel plugin?

I'm not sure what could be causing this, but since you say it doesn't always happen, what could help might be if you could find how to reproduce it/what triggers it. I'm assuming this doesn't happen to you with any other icon/app?

When it does happen, and kalu runs a check, does that white square remains also with the blue icon?
