Project Name does not display after a SAVE - v:1.0.12

For a NEW project with no name yet, when a save is executed, the project name area does not populate.

It only displays the project name upon a LOAD of the project.

Also, a project with a name displayed, will not change its name when saved again with a different name.

Are you talking about the project name in the top of the window? That’s working for me in both Mac and Windows v1.0.12. I am creating/saving the project in the MicroBlocks folder.

Note that if the window is not wide enough to show the project name, it will be suppressed to avoid overlapping with the buttons. Could that be what is happening?

Thanks! The video provided the missing clue – this is only a problem in the browser version. Unfortunately, the browser File Save API does provide access to the file name that the user enters. So, unfortunately, we can’t make this work in the browser right now. Perhaps Google will change the API in the future to make that possible.

Can't fix due to browser limitations
