Element type select dropdown out of screen

I’ve created a Joomla module to display at the footer of my site, but unfortunately since it’s way down in the bottom, I’m not able to select Widget as the type of the element, because it sticks out of the screen, and I am not able to scroll further, some parts of the dropdown are invisible. Is there a way for it to detect that the dropdown doesn’t have enough space so it would expand towards the top instead of the bottom in such scenario? Like right click context menus on desktop operating systems. See attachment for reference
