Multiple Depth passes to limit the Depth of Cut (DoC)

It seems interesting to use thin endmils, for example of 0.2mm of diameter. However, the maximum Depth of cut with these mills has to be limited to reduce tool deflection. Tool deflection is a source of breaking mills, but also of accuracy, if the mill does not break, but nevertheless deflects a substatial fraction of its diameter, then the milled line is not in the same location it should be. This is truth even for only 0.051 mm of final depth cut.

The "trick" is to do multiple passes, for example with that mill it is possible to mill 0.051 by doing several passes at 0.02 mm of DoC at 15k rpm. Tool deflection is then under control.
