Toolbars not visible on app start

When I start up Flatcam 8.991 beta, the usual toolbars are not visible. I have to open the preferences tab and change the “layout” setting. Even though it shows as “compact” on startup the toolbars are not there until I open the dropdown and reselect “compact”.

Most likely it is a conflict with older preferences files.
Go to: Edit → Preferences, click the Open Pref Folder button in the lower part of the Preferences window.
Delete all the files in the folder that will be opened.
Click the Clear GUI Settings button.
Restart the app.

Solved by recreating the Preferences files.

This is still a bug, though. You shouldn’t have to do that.

It’s still a beta, things are in a flow and do change. This is to be expected.
