FlatCAM_beta_8.992_x64_installer.exe contains DEV_build with hardcoded paths
And therefore won’t start.
Best Regards, Samppa
Nice tool by the way

This error shows that the users OS does not have the required VC++ redistributable. Solved by installing VC++ 2019 redistributable X64 from Microsoft site:
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
If this installation does not work, upgrade your OS or use FlatCAM x86 installer which will work on older Windows OS.

reporter Thanks for the pointers,
The Manual install of the vc_redist.x64.exe 2015-2019 works for the application launch.. but there are issues at image import that don’t need to be adressed as I’m running the old dated and the last working Windows .. ever
Building to Windows from multi targeted sources is a bitch! I appreciate Your work, and the previous version works just fine.
What I was looking for was a free tool to turn Target3001! XGerber to gcode.. and that doesn’t work (need a sample?), but importing an image and creating isolation routing and cutout routing did work splendid!
Thank You! Samppa

Hello Samppa,
Yes, in order to fix the Gerber parser so it will work for the Target3001 output, I would need a pair of files: Gerber + it’s Excellon (just in case if there are issues with that one too).
You can post a Google Drive/Dropbox/Mega etc link or upload here: https://filedropper.com and post the link. But please, create a new issue so we can keep the tabs on the issues. Thanks!

The issue title say one thing. The body show an error.

The x64 version of FlatCAM will need the latest OS from Windows. If you need to run FlatCAM in older Windows (Vista, Seven, 8 ) then you need to run the X86 installer even if your OS is 64bit. That is because I can’t create a installer for each OS out there so for older Windows OS I prepare the x86 installer (based on Python 3.5 which runs in Vista and later and using older Python packages suitable for the older OS) and for the newest OS from Windows I prepare the x64 installer (currently based on Python 3.7.6 with latest Python packages)
