Missed areas in isolation routing

Issue #446 resolved
Edward Cragg created an issue

Hi, when doing isolation routing, I have some thin areas missed, as shown here:

Is there some way to fix this?

I’ve played with the available (advanced mode, beta) parameters, but can’t find a solution. Overlap, particularly, seems not to solve it.

Thanks!

Also, this is using 10 isolation passes, so it’s not the case that there’s not enough passes to cover the required area.

    Hi Edward,

I'm on a beach right now in vacation so I will not go in too much detail but know that the isolation concept is to make a reliable isolation (this is influenced by the chosen parameters, tool) not to clear the copper completely. And as seen the SW does that.

What you are looking for is copper clearing, which is done (not very reliable due of the libraries limitations but better than in the Isolation Tool) in NCC tool (in flatcam beta).

    Best regards,

    Marius.
