Excellon Editor issues - fixed for next version

Issue #530 new
Terry Jones created an issue

Doing this the right way now that I know…

Thx Marius for pointing me here and thanks for your work on FlatCAM and thanks for correcting these issues! Look forward to next beta!

New to FlatCAM and found some strange issues in the Excellon Editor (while trying to do something I am sure FlatCAM was never intended to do… use it as my PCB layout program for a simple design)

The two issues I ran into on the latest 8.994 beta in Windows were:

Drill size changes only took effect the SECOND time you added a drill hole

Add Drill Array settings do not show up properly.

The problem is easy to reproduce repeatably.

First the drill size issue.

Launch FlatCAM

File>>New>>Excellon

Right click on the Excellon object in the project and select Edit to launch the Excellon Editor

In Add Delete Tool change diameter to 3.00 and click +ADD and you should have 2 drills to choose from.

Click the + on the toolbar at the top (Add Drill) and then click in your plot area to add a drill hole or two. They will be the size 3 drill.

Click on the size 1 drill in your tool table and then click on the plot area to add a drill hole

The first time you click the drill hole will be size 3 but the next time you click it will (correctly) be size 1.

Note: You MUST click on t he tool # in the tool table. If you click the diameter area in the tool table it will LOOK selected but as soon as you click in the plot area to add a drill hole the selected drill will go back to the previously selected drill tool. I guess that's another bug…

Now the Add Drill Array Issue

Launch FlatCAM

File>>New>>Excellon

Right click on the Excellon object in the project and select Edit to launch the Excellon Editor

From the top menu bar choose Edit>>Toggle Units and click OK to the pop up dialog about scaling.

Now click on the Add Drill Array tool. The Excellon panel does not show the Add Drill Array settings. if you click on the plot area to add a drill array you will get the default 5 drills linear array in the X direction and if you click the Add Drill Array tool again to add another, this time you do get the Add Drill Array settings appearing in the Excellon Editor panel.
