FlatCAM 8.5 bug - Fails to parse Orcad gerber file

Issue #542 new
John Ursoleo created an issue

Flatcam 8.5 – The gerber file is good – PCB house is making the actual boards without problem.. and the bottom layer does open and display, but this top layer not only fails to open, but crashes Flatcam and have to Task-Manager kill the process. 32-bit Win 7, 8gig Memory, huge disk space available. First try it complained that M02* on the last line of the file was no good. I removed it … no change, simply crashed Flatcam. Re-installed 8.5 – then it complained about a different fileline. This pcb layer is two split ground planes with a few isolated traces embedded in these planes if that makes a diff. (The .BOT layer that loads is mostly thin traces with some small copper areas.) The copper pours on the failing layer are constructed with .002 stacked/drawn segments so there are lots and lots of them to make the several square inch pours … 1426 lines in the file. Tried V8.4 with same result.
