freeform cutout from gerber outline is not working
when i trying to generate a free form cutout geometry from a gerber it always creates a rectangular freeform geometry. screenshot attached. i have tried with both windows app version as well as from the source also.

The Cutout Plugin works on an outline Gerber file. What you have is not an outline since it contain also some other structures (the 4 circles).
Yet there are ways to do what you want.
1. Edit the Gerber object and delete the 4 holes. Save. Use the resulting edited Gerber object as usual in the Cutout plugin.
2. Or, in the Cutout plugin, Advanced Mode, check the Panel and create a Cutout Geometry. If in the resulting Geometry object there are some additional not-required paths, edit the Geometry object and delete those paths. -

reporter with your edited gerber outline it worked, thanks a lot…….is it possible to edit the gerber in flatcam itsef. I tried myself but failed to do so beacuse when iam deleting the circles, the outline is also getting deleted…

Yes, I did it in FlatCAM (although using my working version). You need to use the Eraser Tool.
