2 layer pcb tool creates only one hole for alignment

Issue #613 resolved

I do not know if this is intentional, but when creating the alignment holes, only one hole at a time can be mirrored around the reference axis. The workaround for me now is to create the alignment holes 2 times in order to have the 4 holes.

I guess you are talking about the 2-sided Tool. I guess also that it is about a beta version of Flatcam.

To give you a general answer, if you have only a coordinate set entered in the specified field, then it will generate 2 holes, one for the coordinate set entered, and one that is in a mirrored position with the selected reference.

If you add more coordinates sets in format: (x0, y0), (x1, y1), … then you will have multiple pairs of holes.

    Thank you Marius,

You are right, that is exactly what I am speaking about! And yes, the Beta.

In the Beta version, the “add” tab is removed, by holding shift and left clicking, the coordinated are then copied in the field, and doing the same to place the second coordinates results in replacing the previous one and not adding them, regardless.

There is no possibility to add the points manually by methods of typing or copying and pasting.

    Regards and many thanks.

    Hello Rami,

Try to do Ctrl+Shift+click to get a list of points, instead of just Shift+click.

This way you have cumulative action.

The tooltips will point you in the right direction, it is useful to read them in the labels around when you see some missing functionally.

Or you just manually fill the data in by typing them in the field using the format:
    (x0, y0), (x1, y1)
