Imap Login office 365 Shared Mailbox - No Emails shown in Piler
Hello,
Piler Version: 1.3.6 build 998
In office365 it is possible to create shared Mailboxes. You can sign in/access to this shared mailboxes with the login MAINMAILACCOUNT@DOMAIN.XXX\SHAREDMAILACCOUNT@DOMAIN.XXX.
If you do that, you don’t see any emails in piler:
sphinx query: 'SELECT id FROM main1,dailydelta1,delta1 WHERE MATCH(' (@from MAINMAILACCOUNTXDOMAINXcom\SHAREDMAILACCOUNTXDOMAINXnet | @to MAINMAILACCOUNTXDOMAINXcom\SHAREDMAILACCOUNTXDOMAINXnet) ') ORDER BY sent DESC LIMIT 0,20 OPTION max_matches=1000' in 0.00 s, 0 hits, 0 total found
But there are Messages, but only for SHAREDMAILACCOUNT@DOMAIN.XXX.
MariaDB [piler]> select count() from v_messages where todomain like '%DOMAIN.net%'\G*************************** 1. row ***************************count(): 4
greets
Steffen

repo owner Such scenario could be resolved with the group feature or with a post authentication hook. The idea for both cases is to add SHAREDMAILACCOUNT@DOMAIN.XXX email address to those users who can see the contents of the shared folder. If they are a few users, perhaps I’d take the group feature. If all users should access it, then a post auth hook would be a better choice. See http://www.mailpiler.org/wiki/current:custom-authentication for more.

I want to add that having a trustworthy backup solution is extremely important and could help you monitor all that’s happening to your data. To do that, I use this Office 365 backup solution. It helped me to understand the importance of having a solution in place.
