Job indexer

Issue #1087 closed
Dionny Matos Robles created an issue

Hello Mr. Janos How to reduce the 30 minutes of the indexer work time? On the main page it shows 11056 emails and in the search results as an auditor it shows me only 5436 emails.

I consider that the difference is very large between the processed emails and what the search generates as an auditor. Example: I did an initial search, 5636 and after 5 minutes there was only an increase in the search that returned 5637.

Thank you

Iam using piler 1.3.1 and SO Debian 9.

Hello Dionny. Check out the crontab for user piler, and fix the delta indexer frequency to your needs. Though I believe that 30 mins are reasonable.

Btw. I assume it’s a somewhat fresh archive with 11k emails. Why did you install such an old version?

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Janos.
I used an old version because a month ago I installed version 1.3.8 in Debian 10 and I had problems with the piler daemons, specifically "smtp-piler", which in fact, when I restarted rc.piler, "service piler" appeared and "service smtp-piler". What version do you recommend and on what operating system?
    Thank you and very kind.

Good morning, Mr. Janos. How to install version 3.2.1 of sphinx from tar.gz, because inside the folders I don't see an installer? Thank you

    Hello Mr. Janos.
    I have some problems.
    1 - When I unzip this: https://download.mailpiler.com/generic-local/sphinx-3.3.1-bin.tar.gz, where do I find the file sphinx.conf to set STRICT_SPHINX_SCHEMA to 1?
2 - When I unzip https://bitbucket.org/jsuto/piler/get/master.tar.gz, I do make, make install fine, but when I do make postinstall it gives me error ... Please you would be so kind to give me some instructions?
3 - If I have a group of .eml files generated by a mail client, could I import them into a server piler with pilerexport?
    Thank you

How about I do it for you over ssh? Then you’d have the archive running as fast as possible, and I could close this issue. If you agree, then send the login data to my email. See piler -V on the current installation.

    Good morning, Mr. Janos.
    You as always as attentive.
Okay, I could give it access, but then I think I wouldn't have a chance to learn how to do the Piler deployment, and that's my interest.
    I hope you understand.
One question, does Piler 1.3.8 work well with Sphinx 2.2.11 on Debian10?
    Thank you
