After reindex -a folder /var/piler/tmp is 27 GB big
Issue #1169
closed
After my last update disater i decided to migrate my archive to a new host.
I run reindex -a
for reindexing my sphinx data. Now the /var/piler/tmp
folder is 27 GB big.
Is there a way to clear the tmp folder?

repo owner Stop all piler daemons, then rm -rf /var/piler/tmp; mkdir /var/piler/tmp

repo owner Btw. if the reindex process grew /var/piler/tmp to 27 GB, then something didn’t go well.
Also if you had a sphinx index data files, then there wouldn’t be a need for a complete reindexing. You can copy the sphinx just fine.
