Any plugin for Autocad .dwg attachments ?

I have this client whose lots of mails have huge AutoCAD attachments. I would like to find out if its possible to render and convert them for efficient archiving format, the way catdoc, xlhtml, pdf2text, etc do for their respective files. Is there any plugin available that I can compile Piler with ?

Well, catdoc, and friends don't really convert an attachment, they merely extract textual information for indexing, and the actuall attachment is stored as it is, without any modification.

So if there's any useful textual info in an autocad attachment, then please help me with finding a proper command line utility to extract it.

So far I couldn't find any usable solution for Linux to extract text from a dwg file.

So I mark this as "wontfix". However I will and I intend to fixit if you come up with something usable for getting text from dwg files. In this case just reopen the issue.
