Office 365

Issue #212 resolved
Former user created an issue

Is there any more documenation on connecting piler to Office 365? I have put in the smtp information and it says smtp status ok, but I am not archiving any emails.

Does it require a username and password?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Piler does not need a username or password, it just archives everything it receives.

Please check the maillog on the archiving host, and verify that it actually receives some emails from office365 smtp servers.

Do you need help configuring office365?

When I try to telnet on port 25 I get

    220 piler.yourdomain.com ESMTP

    Shouldn't it be piler.jacksboroisd.local?

I set up 365 I just think something is not right. New to piler but seasoned at Exchange

The hostname in the smtp banner can be anything that office365 servers accept. I recommend a valid, and resolvable FQDN you can set in /usr/local/etc/piler.conf (just replace "piler.yourdomain.com", then restart it).
