Office 365
Issue #212
resolved
Is there any more documenation on connecting piler to Office 365? I have put in the smtp information and it says smtp status ok, but I am not archiving any emails.
Does it require a username and password?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I try to telnet on port 25 I get
220 piler.yourdomain.com ESMTP
Shouldn't it be piler.jacksboroisd.local?
I set up 365 I just think something is not right. New to piler but seasoned at Exchange

repo owner The hostname in the smtp banner can be anything that office365 servers accept. I recommend a valid, and resolvable FQDN you can set in /usr/local/etc/piler.conf (just replace "piler.yourdomain.com", then restart it).

Not sure if it's still an issue. In that case be sure to reopen it.

Piler does not need a username or password, it just archives everything it receives.
Please check the maillog on the archiving host, and verify that it actually receives some emails from office365 smtp servers.
