Securing Web GUI with Open SSL

I'm currently assigned to build a Mail Archive with a GUI interface for the users. My issue is I need to ensure that the GUI interface uses SSL for connection. I've tried to enable SSL with Piler but it breaks portions of the web interface. Please advise,

Make sure, you have https in SITE_URL in config-site.php. Btw. what portions does https break?

I'm going to have to re-install again, but if I remember correctly, it would revert back to http when doing a search. Again, I'll load again and we can go from there.

There's not much to reinstall, I'd rather see config-site.php instead (no passwords), and your relevant webserver settings making sure you have a https virtualhost.
