Search not found after indexer.main

Issue #432 resolved
edenilson amaral created an issue

hi.

I noticed the following scenario:

I have an email in Chinese character with the body, I can locate it without problems. But when the next indexer.main wheel (30 2 * * * / usr / local / libexec / piler / indexer.main.sh), I can no longer locate it.

I have done several test changing the cron but did not work.

All of the index are sphinx.conf with ngram_len = 1 and U = nagram_chars + + 3000..U 2FA1F

Piler Version:

piler 1.1.0, build 884, Janos SUTO sj@acts.hu

Build Date: Tue Aug 19 09:14:15 CEST 2014 ldd version: ldd (Debian EGLIBC 2.13-38+deb7u3) 2.13 gcc version: gcc version 4.7.2 (Debian 4.7.2-5) Configure command: ./configure --localstatedir=/var --enable-starttls --enable-tcpwrappers --with-database=mysql

Thanks.

Please try to locate the sphinx search query in maillog when the last time it succeeded, and compare it with the current search query.

    I simulated the situation by changing the index.main to run after a current survey (43 8 * * * /usr/local/libexec/piler/indexer.main.sh)

What I could see, the difference is after index.main there is a daily resetting and resetting of the main

After this, the search returns empty. The attachment shows occurred.

    Thank you.

Something is not right, running the main indexer should cause any problem. Did you upgrade piler? Is so, then what was the piler version you used at the first time, and have you changed anything in sphinx.conf?

The previous version I used is 1.1.25. Not had this situation. In version 1.1.0, only added the ngram indicated in Faq 7.

Should I reinstall the OVA again?

No, not necessary, especially if you have lots of emails archived. Rather, I suggest to reset the sphinx database, then reindex all emails.
