Readpst / Piler Import questions...

Issue #485 resolved
My Account created an issue

Hello,

New to piler/readpst. I run the following command to convert the PST's to compatible format for piler to import:

readpst -D -M -q /var/piler/pstlocation/username.pst

This creates the folder structure that exists in the PST on the Piler server. I then run the following command to import the email into Piler:

pilerimport -d /var/tmp/pstimport_location/

When I do this I get a lot of email that seems to process ok, but I also get some of the following messages during the import process:

Warning: Word not in hash Error: Incorrect Password Error: Expected the default config, but wasn't able to find it, or it isn't a Dictionary Format a4 is redefined 4000000054bd4ccf267de79c00157c4c6954.a1.bin is not OLE file or Error

Can anyone explain to me what each of these mean and if I need to be worried about some emails not importing correctly and if so and if possible how to rectify the issues?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Note that piler can't extract textual data of encrypted attachments. The errors you saw were such errors, and warnings, etc from the external helpers. Don't worry, the message is archived. I think I'll add it to the FAQ section, since it scares some people.
