High CPU Usage - PDFtoText
Hi Janos,
Our Piler Server started a high CPU utilization cycle where it stays at about 100% for the last 24 hours and continuing on. (The Piler email queue on our Exchange Server is backing up but still processing messages very slowly.) When checking the CPU using "root@piler:~# ps aux | grep piler" we see two process for pdftotext that are very high. I've attached a text file showing the results.
Thanks in advance for your help with this issue.
JK

repo owner OK, then it's worth to upgrade to the master branch, and it's likely to solve the issue. Let me know how it goes.
-
reporter Janos, Do you have an upgrade instructions guide that explains the process? Thanks again! Jim
-
repo owner Well, I believe that the instructions on the upgrade page should work out.

Show me piler -v output, please. The problem is that pdftotext is stuck, and so is the calling process. ie. piler. Recent versions of piler features the timeout binary to make sure no helper process is run for a long time.
