504 Gateway Timeout

504 Gateway Time-out nginx/1.6.2

After we enter our credentials, we get the error above. The application has been running very smoothly and we have not made any changes recently. I tried changing the timeout time in php as well what was suggested in another post regarding this error.

Any ideas?

There must have been something changed. What do the nginx logs say?

Were there any changes in hostnames, dns data, any config changes on the archive?

Only thing that changed (and it worked for a couple of weeks after this) was the IP of the server.

There must be something more. If the hostname was fixed as well in dns, then it should still work.

I assume it's solved by now.
