Help with archive and retention rule
I need help setting up archive and retention rules. I've looked around but haven't found much information on them.
I need a simple archive rule to archive EVERY e-mail.
I need a simple retention rule to keep every archived e-mail for 5 years (1825 days).
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help!

repo owner Usually it's /usr/local/etc/piler.conf

reporter Ok I found it and got it changed. Does anything else need to be changed in this file? I just realized when I opened it up that the hostid and listen_addr haven't been modified for my environment.

repo owner I don't know what you are trying to do, so not sure what you should change. Anyway all your parameters should reflect your environment, and needs, though the default values are reasonable. Be sure to review the description for the variables, and fix if needed.

By default piler archives everything, so no explicit rule needed. Set the default retention value in piler.conf to 1825, restart piler, and you are done.
