GUI and Mail header time is different
Hello,
We are using following version of Mail Piler :
piler 1.1.1, build 904,
Build Date: Wed Sep 14 10:46:39 IST 2016 ldd version: ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.23-0ubuntu3) 2.23 gcc version: gcc version 5.4.0 20160609 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.2)
If we check in Mail Piler GUI for some emails the time is showing different, it has reached to date 13th October.
We changed the time to 'Asia/Kolkata' before a week in config.php file.
Please find Screenshots and Headers, Requesting your help on the same.
Thanks, Kevin

repo owner Have you also set the timezone in Linux as well to Asia/Kolkata?

Hello Janos,
Yes, it's IST.
Please find attached screenshot.
Thanks, Kevin

repo owner I think I got it. The gui merely grabs the message, and simply prints the Date: header. If you carefully check the headers, then you'll see the gui displayed it properly.

reporter Hello Janos,
Could you please elaborate the same.
The envelope shows future date where in it was yesterday's email (6th Oct)
From: <> Message-Id: <> Date: Thu, 13 Oct 2016 11:15:14 +0530 To: <> Mime-Version: 1.0 (1.0) X-Mailer: iPhone Mail (13G36) X-Gm-Spam: 0 X-Gm-Phishy: 0
Recipient system showing 6th October.

repo owner Not sure, perhaps google has invented time travel. The problem is that piler doesn't process the Received headers, rather it reads the Date: header line. The problem is at the sending party, which clearly has some time issues.

reporter Hello Janos,
Email of Oct 6 is showing normal timezone on email. Is there any processing configuration which we might have to look.
Thanks, Kevin
-
repo owner Did you understand my previous comment?
-
reporter Hello Janos,
I have understood your comments so i reproduced the issue from one of the test account - hptofriend@gmail.com, now the timing (envelope sender) is showing fine in header and GUI, however the message header - 1 also ended with @gmail.com
Thanks, Kevin

Could you explain the problem? To me the dates on "Message header - (GUI)" and "Message header - 1.txt" pretty much look the same.
