Allowed characters in header From

[s s]

Hello,

I'm using old piler version (0.1.25-master-branch, build 857) and noticed following issue. A message had following header: From: BlaBlaBla_first&[e-mail]

But piler put address "[e-mail]" to the piler.metadata from field.

What is the list if allowed characters in From header?

It is possible that it was resolved in latest release. I just can't test it.

Indeed, it's fixed. Look at https://bitbucket.org/jsuto/piler/src/da8e7e83b05aa0665052f32c94d2527e1853c8cf/src/parser_utils.c?at=master&fileviewer=file-view-default, locate function void translateLine(unsigned char p, struct parser_state state){} around 584th line, and notice the following in line 607:

if(*p == '_' || *p == '\'' || *p == '&' || *p == '+'){ continue; }
