Receiving lots of direct spam emails

For some days the Piler VM is receiving thousands of spam emails sent directly to the dedicated address.

I opened port 25 to allow mail accounts that are stored on piler to forward a copy of the email received, but this port is also used by spammers to send thousands of emails that I now find in the archive.

Has anyone had the same problem?

The piler-smtp daemon should be accessed only by your mail server. Use tcp_wrappers or iptables (or any other firewalling stuff) to allow your mail server, and block the rest.
