Unreadable Attachments

Hi,

i recognized that almost all of my Attachments are not readable. If i diff two files, i recognized that i have differences in the Downloaded File.

Find attached two test files (one that was sent, one downloaded from piler)

What could be the issue?

Unfortunately there's an issue in the smtp protocol handling which causes this corruption in certain circumstances. Emails imported by pilerimport are not affected by this bug. I admit, it's a very nasty bug, and I apologize for it. The 1.3.4 release (see it on the download page) fixes this issue. I'll update your other ticket and do my best to help you upgrading.

So there is no chance to get the already imported attachments work again?

I'm sorry, I don't think so unless you reimport them. Btw. are these imported emails by pilerimport or received over smtp?

Then I have no good news, unfortunately. If you still can access those files (eg. have access on the mailboxes), then your best bet is to reset the archive to be empty (or setup a new archive on a new host, if it's possible), and import those legacy emails.

I have a issue at the moment. All files that i download have a size of 0 byte.

resolved it myself. i upgraded from jessie to stretch, so libmysqlclient.so.18 wasn´t available anymore. had to recompile - now its working
