piler -v
1.3.4 build 994
I recently had to move the entire server from a XEN virtual environment to a VMWare environment. I hadn't stopped the services by accident so I redid the migration and things were fine. I then upgraded to the version you see above from 1.3.0. Everything looks fine but in the mailog I am seeing:
Apr 5 13:16:06 archive piler-smtp[3228]: connected from 10.1.151.109:9885 on descriptor 6 (active connections: 1) Apr 5 13:16:06 archive piler-smtp[3228]: received: 4MB5495Y1IIBWWA8, from=, size=6431, client=10.1.151.109 Apr 5 13:16:06 archive piler-smtp[3228]: disconnected from 10.1.151.109 on descriptor 6 (0 active connections) Apr 5 13:16:07 archive piler[3680]: 2/4MB5495Y1IIBWWA8: discarding: archiving policy: domain=,from=,to=,subject=,body=,size0,att.name=,att.type=,att.size0,spam=0 Apr 5 13:16:07 archive piler[3680]: 2/4MB5495Y1IIBWWA8: 400000005ac659e1108656cc004f547fc368, size=6431/0, attachments=0, reference=, message-id=180405131555.4857.AA@meditech.com, retention=0, folder=0, delay=0.0039, status=discarded
It seems to me that the header info isn't being parsed properly so it is erroneously getting caught in an archive policy. Have you seen this before?

reporter I checked the ssl_error_log and saw this:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[', expecting ']' in /var/www/piler/model/search/message.php on line 220, referer: https://archive.waypointcentre.ca/
I am not sure if that is causing my search error.

repo owner Show me your archiving rules. Also what version of php do you have?
-
reporter Those are my curreny archive rules. PHP:
Current PHP version: 5.4.16
Thanks!
-
repo owner Two problems:
- you have discarded all not spam emails, and you ensured it by adding the same rule even twice.
- the install manual says 1.3.4 requires php 7
-
reporter Those two issues were it and things are working fine now. I had been running at that version of PHP for some time and hadn't seen that requirement for the upgrade so thanks for pointing that out! With the archive rules, I had been running with those rules since the initial install but for whatever reason they hadn't been affecting anything until now. I did remove them and things seem happy!
Thanks for the program and your time with this! Cheers!

reporter - changed status to resolved
Working great since upgrading PHP and changing the archive rules.

Hi:
Just an update! It seems I can't search anymore either, it just says working without any results.
Thanks!
