Issue #931 closed

Hi,

I have a partition of 2TB for the installation of piler, a few days ago it was in less than 200GB of use and suddenly I pass to almost 2TB, I have tried to enter a folder called tmp under the path / var / piler, but it has been impossible , when I do an ls in this folder it never ends.

Thanks

    Hi Janos,

We had a virtual snapshot before the problem and what I did was restore the virtual one, but the problem has reappeared. The folder temp under piler has occupied 80% of the space destined to retain the mails and I can not find the reason of this problem.

I do not see an error in the log file, where should I check the reason why this folder is being filled?

    Regards,

To resume normal operations, stop all piler related processes, then rename tmp to tmp.orig, and create a new tmp dir (inside /var/piler) with the original owner:group and permissions. Then you should check what you have under /var/piler/tmp.orig. Don't use simple ls, rather try find (expect a huge output), and look what takes up so much space there. I can't say any more specific without seeing it.
