Piler SMTP crashes

Hi,
we have experienced a strange problem on the 21st and 24th of September. On both days at a seemingly random time the smtp deamon stopped working. The services piler and searchd both have been running however. Only the smtp component sopped working.
We did not find any information regarding any errors in the syslog.
Do you have any idea on how to debug this?
If you think it is difficult to find out the cause we would consider reinstalling piler completely with a fresh database and reimport all mails because of the problems we have in Issue #934

There was a bug in a few builds before not hadling a signal properly, so it's worth to try piler-smtp from the latest master branch. I'd say keep this host as it is, except update piler-smtp only.
