WinMerge 2011 has become my favorite diff-merge tool on Windows since its simplicity and performance. However, I observe that when operating on complex files (they are branched for very long time), the comparison result is not quite good, compares to Kompare (on Linux). I saw that the used GNU diffutils in WinMerge is very old (version 2.5, from 1993, plus some local patches) when the latest version is 3.6 (Kompare use diff tools of Linux, which I think also use diffutils).
Can you do something for it?
p/s: since company policy, I apologize that I can't give you sample source code. However, I'm trying to upgrade locally but I don't think it goes well since there are a lot of missing dependencies and I use VS2017.
