Remove mailing list from the documentation?

Jonathan Ballet avatarJonathan Ballet created an issue

The README still refers to the mailing list at Google Groups but it's pretty dead and might confuse people.

If this mailing list is not used anymore, I suggest we should remove the link from the doc and close (or post an announcement) so issues like this doesn't stay unanswered for ever.

I agree the mailing list is less-than-ideal. My only hesitation is that bitbucket doesn't provide something similar. But that seems to be adequate for small projects like these. Sometimes issues get filed when they're just questions or discussion points, but I'm fine with that.

I've nothing against a mailing-list, I'm actually sometimes looking for a way to get some ideas before touching some and I guess it would be the place to discuss it. It's just it's not used at the moment, and might confound people if they want to communicate with the project. Comments like I forwarded the problem to keyring mailing list (issue tracker seems abandoned). are not very helpful nor for them nor for here.
