This seems really unlikely, since Wireguard is pretty reliant on newer kernel versions AIUI. Backporting for 2.6 would be a really big job (in my uninformed opinion). Would be nice though.

It’s probably not possible to get kernel Wireguard, but it’s possible to get user-mode TunSafe, although it won’t have the performance benefits of running in kernel mode. But it should still be faster than OpenVPN.
