Parsing inconsistent structures

Should parsing inconsistent structures result in an error, or just in a parsed, inconsistent structure?

I would say, in a parsed inconsistent structure, but with a warning for the user.

I think that in general a warning should be thrown whenever a structure becomes inconsistent (this can also happen when a user edits its structure through Lua)
