Widget Macro's don't support Wiki-Markup - Unknown Macro: {widget-icon}

When trying to use any widget macro’s with wiki-markup an error is shown: Unknown macro

According to this community question I suspect that the plugin doesn’t support wiki-markup as it is a seperate rendering engine.

However, I would require to use wiki-markup to implement the macro into the Sidebar/Header/Footer of a space.

Confluence Server Version: 6.15.9

If that feature isn’t implemented yet, please change this issue into a Proposal / Feature Request.
Until then I would assume that it’s a bug.
