Error with Confluence 6.0.1

Issue #3 resolved
Jim Sullivan created an issue

I am testing an upgrade to confluence 6.0.1 and I get the following error with the image slider

*Error rendering macro 'image-slider' : Could not initialize class com.atlassian.upm.osgi.impl.Versions***

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the add-on but it didn't help. Any suggestions on resolving this issues

Thanks!

    Hi Tina,

I downloaded the new version and that worked but I did find another issue. When I select “Use Comments As” to “link” or “both” the images disappear. The images only appear when I use the “caption” option.

    Thank you,

    Jim

    Hi Tina,

Any luck on reproducing this issue? I tried turning off all our themes and the images still disappear when I use the links. We use the links on the images for the homepage of our intranet.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Hi Jim, I am sorry for the delay. Actually, we can't reproduce it but we still investigate the issue.

    Please, can you

    1. resend the screenshots again via mail info@kuppersoftware.com.

    2. reinstall add-on

    3. rebuild the search index

    4. try a new test with a new page.

    5. verify javascript error (browser console)

    Hi Tina,

I tried that and then noticed there are 2 images slider options. The “Image Slider” link works and “Responsive Image Slider” links do not work. Should there be 2 options?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hi Jim,

    yes there are two options:

1- Responsive Image Slider: mobile friendly and image focus in center.

2- Image slider: a slider with more parameters like timer but not supported for mobile . I am sorry, I can't see your attached screenshots.

    What's displayed: [cid:image001.png@01D250A9.379BD3E0]

    Best regards,

I was just showing the2 options. The difference is the Image Slider works fine when comments are enabled as links but the Responsive Image Slider images disappear when comments are enabled as links. I’ll use the Image slider going forward.

    Thanks,

    Jim
