Enabling touch support by default

Issue #112 wontfix
created an issue

The touch support now works again, but given that touch events tend to be broadcast as mouse events anyway (on my Windows 10 laptop) I am not sure it is useful to enable this by default outside of smaller screened devices.

Pinch zoom is about all it offers, over and above mouse click type finger presses. The gesture support last I tried it was pretty shoddy, and I doubt it would have changed.

Is there any reason it should be enabled by default that I am missing?

Not a good idea. I tried this, and the experience was not great. My touchscreen laptop already does mouse clicks on finger presses, so no real benefit outside of gestures (require lots of additional user work anyway) and scaling (incompatible paradigm with consoles in practice).
