Authority needed to set up using files in Download Repository on this site

Issue #3 new
Vern Hamberg created an issue

I want to install Ghostscript, so am going the Perzl route - downloaded the Download Repository from here and put its contents into /QOpenSys/download.

I am using QP2TERM with my authority of PGMR class and special authorities of JOBCTL and *SAVSYS.

I was following the steps in README.md and tried to run setup.sh.

I got some errors, like I could not rename a directory in order to do a mv command.

You can see the results in the attached PDF - please ignore the first few lines - where I do a listing, a couple removes, and another listing.

I'll need to get someone with more authority to set this stuff up, as it probably should be - but there has been nothing said about authority that I could find.

    Hi Vern,

I noticed a few thinks that make me think we might need to do some cleanup. First, you had setup2.sh and wwwperzl2.sh in your directory, which are most likely from a previous YiPs install. Second, I see the date on the files is 2014. I just downloaded the repo from ibmiperzl and they are from July 2016.

I think it would be best to delete the /QOpenSys/download** directory and start fresh.

** assuming nobody else needs it on your team.

I should respond to the other errors... Guessing you're going to need *ALLOBJ.

Ay! I think I had an old download2*.tar that I restored after I'd put in the files from litmis - so that explains the funny dates.

I sent you an email that I've tried to clean things up - 3 symbolic links still there, stubborn - can't seem to delete them.

Yeah, I'd definitely start over (get someone to delete those and then restore the correct .zip) otherwise we'll be shooting in the dark.
