Roles

The roles a user can have are:

• Administrator. By default, user '1' is the main admin, but others can be added too. This gives permission to do everything.
• Case Manager. The ability to add, edit, delete cases, tasks & evidence. Can also view reports
• Investigator. The ability to work on tasks and evidence.
• QA. The ability to quality check the investigator's work.
• Requester. Can add new cases & tasks and view cases & tasks they have created.
• Authoriser. Authorises new cases added by the requester. They can also reject cases.

User's can have multiple roles; for example most investigators will also be QA's.

Permissions

This table lists the permissions that the logged in user have, depending on their role. The permissions change if:

• A case is archived: Archived cases, tasks and evidence can be viewed only.
• A case is private: Only those working on the case can see this case. For all other case managers, investigators and QAs - this case does not exist.
