Integration in scipy

It would be really nice if the functionality of this package could be integrated into the scipy package.

There is already an open issue on the scipy repo about this.

What are your thoughts about this? I'm glad to help if I can.

PeakUtils indeed implements a way (there is no "standard way") to detect peaks in data. Those methods are already used in optics to interrogate fiber Bragg gratings and long period gratings, and may be useful for other fields too (I've worked in an optics lab).

I'm not sure about the utility of including peakutils in scipy itself, but I'm willing to help.
