Projects. Create, modify and delete a project. Subprojects.

Create a new project

In order to create a new project, the member must have the permission to do this. If a member doesn't have permission, the website administrator can set this by editing this member profile: joomla administration area - MyPortal - user name - Create new project and check this.

If the member is allowed to create projects, a button will be available in the Projects area.

Click the button to create a new project.

If an error appears "Create record not permitted.", you must set correct permissions for the joomla group containing this user. Let's say this member is part of Registered, you must go to administration area - Options - Permissions - Registered - Create and set to Allowed.

Modify a project

A project can be modified only by the project manager (the person who created that project). On Projects page, if the user is the manager of a project he will see a button Edit.

Once you click on that button, you will arrive on the edit page, where you can modify the project's details.

Delete a project

A project can be deleted only by the project manager. The delete button is available on the project page.

When you delete a project, all sub-projects, tasks and files associated with that project will also be deleted.

Subprojects

Inside a project a staff member can create a new project, named subproject. The process of creating a subproject is basically the same as the process of creation of a new normal project.
