Quick intersection flummoxed by hidden category

Hi Magnus -- This is about the "Quick Intersection" tool not "Catscan 2": it seems to fail when one of the two categories is a hidden one. It would be useful for multiple editors in en.wikipedia.org doing cleanup of National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) articles that need improvement: specifically the 5,339 articles currently in "Category:All articles sourced to NRIS only"

Quick Intersection applied to: ''National Register of Historic Places in Texas'' (a regular category) vs. ''All articles sourced to NRIS only'' (a hidden category supporting maintenance) yields 0 items, while article "Angelina River Bridge" is one of many that should appear.

Catscan V3.0 works fine, yielding 251 results. So I and others do have a fully functioning alternative. It's just Quick Intersection really does seem easier so better for me to recommend to others in this one application area. And it could be useful anywhere else that hidden categories are used.

I am new to bitbucket so I am probably making mistakes in protocol. I term it a bug (set "Kind" = bug) rather than enhancement because users would think it should work, and there's no notice to users that it would not. I contact you here because "catscan2" issues seems to be the closest available topic title. I "assign" this to you as maybe that is what is done, to get it to your attention. Again please excuse me if these are not the preferred actions.

I am User:Doncram in en.wikipedia. I may try to get back here to see if there is any reply, but to contact me, emailing me at doncram at gmail is fine. Contacting me at User talk:Doncram will surely reach me quickly, also, but if you do I'd prefer you not mention NRHP there. (While I am allowed to make this report outside of en.wikipedia, and while I expect to get the ban lifted soon, I am currently banned from NRHP topics in en.wikipedia, and I'd prefer not to cause concern.) --sincerely Doncram
