This is, I believe, the reason https://tools.wmflabs.org/glamtools/treeviews/ gets no pageviews data at all.

I don't see that file any longer, instead there is a line like $('#views'+o.lcnt+"_"+sanitizeID(o.k2)+"_"+result.options.date).html ( "<a href='http://"+wikiSettings.stats_grok+"/"+o.lang+"/"+result.options.date+"/"+encodeURI(o.title)+"' title='See these stats in detail' target='_blank'>" + prettyNumber ( views ) + "</a>" ) ; // FIXME project

So this is superseded?

The error is still seen at that URL, but TreeViews now relies on https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Pageviews_API (at least for data since October 2015).
