Issue with main page counting

There is a big spike in NARA's views for 2012-08, but it's due to an error in logic. One of the articles listed is the English Wikipedia's main page (http://tools.wmflabs.org/glamtools/baglama2/index.html#gid=50&month=201208&giu=enwiki&server=en.wikipedia.org). But this image was on Wikipedia's main page for a day, not the entire month, since main page images are rotated so often. Those views are important, because it was a lot, but it was more like 10 million or less probably, not 300 million. Is there a way to correct for this situation?
